Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
