Star Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Views After Lending His Voice To Contentious Covid Documentary

Liam Neeson has provided his vocal talents to a recent film that challenges the safety of vaccinations and commends ex- government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Disputed Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a well-known publication written by Judy Mikovits, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for claims that the illness was a result of a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

Her writing partner, the executive producer, has previously authored books with far-right radio host Alex Jones. Heckenlively recently posted hailing Neeson's role in the film.

A Strong Denial

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have provided a response strongly denying suggestions that he holds anti-vaccine views.

"Everyone can recognize that unethical practices can exist within the drug industry, but that should never be confused with rejection of vaccines," the statement reads. "He is not, and is not, against vaccines. His considerable work with the UN children's agency highlights his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response added that the actor did not shape the documentary's narrative and that concerns about its content should be directed to the filmmakers.

Major Themes In the Feature

According to the documentary, the voiceover spoken by Neeson makes several strong claims:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
  • It argues that "medical science has become dangerously politicised."
  • RFK Jr is featured saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • The narration also criticizes Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it references a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Past Controversy and Ongoing Issues

The film includes a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a correction by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

In recent weeks, Kennedy instructed the national health agency to revise its official position that there is no link between vaccines and autism. This claim is repeated in the documentary, contrary to a recent study from the World Health Organisation stating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Position of Support

Contrasting the film's message, Neeson has in the past voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," stating that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

The film finishes with Neeson's voice stating, "This isn't the end of our journey. It is the start of a fresh chapter."
