Los Angeles witnessed widespread celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area events included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.
