Loyal followers of the pop star are calling for that a man who leaped a barrier and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the Australian man pushing past media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being detained", though official papers showed that he was due to attend court on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another message on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of supporters had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The film, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, earning a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
